Erich Kirshner
Erich Kirshner is a public relations/marketing professional with
significant experience as a print journalist, hospital/non-profit public
relations/marketing manager and public relations/ marketing agency
senior account representative.
Kirshner has been working in the Front
Range public relations and marketing fields since 1990. A partial list

Kirshner is Incoming President and Program Chair for the Colorado
Healthcare Strategy and Management (CHSM) professional society and is
Past President of the Colorado HealthCare Communicators public
relations/marketing association.
A former national health care
trade journal associate editor, Kirshner excels at ensuring clients have
a newsworthy story to tell that will gain significant media attention. His work has resulted in client exposure in all of the state’s
significant newspapers and television news outlets, in addition to
national and international exposure via a myriad of electronic and print
outlets.
Marketing and social marketing efforts have resulted in gains in
market share and awareness for both for-profit and non-profit clients.
Strategies utilized include direct mail, Internet, point of service
“takeaways,” billboards, bus signage, electronic and print advertising
and use of novelty items.
Before beginning his career Kirshner earned two degrees in journalism, a bachelor's degree from
the University of Wyoming and a master's degree from Northwestern
University.
Kirshner, a married father of three daughters, lives with his wife,
Jean, and children in Parker, Colorado. An avid member of his community,
Kirshner is proud to volunteer with the Special Olympics and other
disability-focused organizations.

Susan Thornton
With 35 years of experience in marketing, communications, multimedia
production and work with diverse populations, as well as 16 years of
local and national leadership as an elected official, Susan Thornton
brings what the Littleton Independent newspaper has called a "Fort Knox"
of experience and insight to clients.
A columnist with The Denver Post, Susan holds a master's degree in
journalism from UCLA and has been a reporter with U.S. News & World
Report. Her marketing and public relations skills have been tapped by a
wide range of universities, state agencies, national corporations and
nonprofits. She has an extensive background in health and health policy
issues, including 20 years of clinical faculty appointment at the
University of Colorado's School of Medicine.
Susan holds 22 state and national awards for her professional
accomplishments, including two major leadership awards from the Denver
Regional Council of Governments, the University of Colorado School of
Nursing's Visionary Leadership award, Doctors Care's Diversity Award and
the Littleton Independent's Most Valuable Citizen award. She is sought
after as a speaker on diversity, immigration and other issues. In
addition to enjoying life with her grown son, daughter-in-law and
husband of 40 years, in her spare time Susan teaches, judges and
performs with the Great Highland Bagpipe.

James Jenkins
James Jenkins has more than
20 years of experience in marketing and
communications that includes writing, website development, and
film/video production. Much of his experience comes from working with
the healthcare industry, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New
Mexico, Diagnostek/ValueRx pharmacy benefits management, and the
Colorado Foundation for Medical Care (a Medicare quality improvement
organization). James earned a BA in Communication and Journalism with
emphases in advertising and public relations from the University of New
Mexico. As project manager, he leads a creative team of gifted
professionals and ensures that every facet of a project is on message,
delivered on time, and reflects the highest quality possible.

Katie Trexler
A member of the Kirshner Communications team, Katie Trexler left
7NEWS to spend more time with her family and work in the public
relations and marketing arenas in 2007 after 7 years at the station.
While at 7NEWS, Trexler served as an anchor and weekday reporter, with a
special focus on health care stories.
A Denver native, Trexler began her career in Eureka, California before
moving on to KOB-TV in Albuquerque, N.M., where she was a weekend
anchorwoman and weekday reporter.
Previous to her stint in Albuquerque, Trexler worked at WJBK-TV in
Detroit as an investigative reporter. She won an Emmy Award and other
awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for her work in
Detroit.
Trexler is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. She
earned a double degree in broadcast journalism and political science.

Jordan Peel
Jordan has more than six years experience in the communications field
focusing primarily on public relations for the medical field. After
receiving her Master's Degree in Communication from Suffolk University,
Peel began her career in public relations at a healthcare marketing firm
in Boston where she worked on Fortune 500 accounts, such as McKesson.
A love of the mountains brought Jordan out West, where she continued her
PR career as an account executive at an agency in downtown Denver.
Jordan worked on a variety of accounts, including several IntegraMed
fertility clinics and the Mountain West Sports Network. In recent years,
she has expanded her marketing repertoire by engaging in social media,
search engine marketing and Web content management.
Jordan has a love
for animals and volunteers her time as a PR strategist for the Rocky
Mountain Great Dane Rescue, Inc.

Phil Odell
Phil
Odell is a marketing and advertising agency veteran with 25 years of
experience. He has worked as a client services professional for agencies
and clients of all shapes and sizes. His core competencies are brand
strategy, communications planning, project management and business
development.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, Phil began his
career in Chicago at Tatham Laird & Kudner where he worked with Ralston
Purina, Del Monte and RJR Nabisco. He joined D’Arcy Advertising Los
Angeles in 1988 where he spent fifteen years working with companies like
Pillsbury, Makita, Busch Entertainment Corporation, General Motors, and
Computer Sciences Corporation. In 2004 Jack Morton Worldwide recruited
him. There he helped secure business with Boeing, Toyota, and Mazda. He
moved to Denver in 2006 as the Director of Client Services at ripcord.
In 2009 Phil created Casa Grande Communications, a marketing consulting
practice servicing agencies and client organizations.
Phil’s healthcare experience includes providing account leadership on
the National Children’s Study recruitment program in Douglas County
Colorado and the Colorado Department of Health’s 2009/2010 H1N1
immunization campaign. He has also developed marketing programs for
Philip’s Sonicare Power Toothbrush and Herbalife Nutrition and Weight
Management Products. In 2006 he helped develop programs to promote AIDS
Walk Colorado, which raised $800,000.
Over the years he has been privileged to work with some of the best
and the brightest in the industry. The teams he has worked with have won
substantial industry recognition for their work, including three Effie
Awards.
Phil and his wife Emily live with their three kids and twelve pets
(yes, twelve) in South Denver. Life is never dull in their household.

Nancy Martch
Nancy
Martch has extensive marketing and communications experience, mostly in
the fields of healthcare and fitness. Nancy brings an enterprising
approach to the development of solutions to a broad range of
communications challenges. She enjoys helping clients find solutions
that meet their unique objectives, that solidify their organizational
identities, and that help grow their businesses. Originally from Texas,
Nancy has an MA in English from the University of Texas at Arlington,
and is currently completing her MA in Organizational Communications and
Conflict Management at Regis University in Denver. She is also a
volunteer community mediator with Jefferson County Mediation Services.
Nancy makes her home and teaches yoga in Littleton.
